My cousin has used Solaray L-Lysine to avert an outbreak of Herpes. She starts to take it at the first tingle and states the outbreak either does not occur or is averted entirely. She likes Solaray which she gets at her local Herbal outlet.Bye, Bye Mouth Sores!!
When my sister was a teenager, she would get white spots on the back of her throat. Her doctor recommended taking Lysine. She began taking Free Form Lysine and it did not take all of the spots away, but it did help tremendously. If I get a mouth sore, I know I will be looking for this product!Worked For Me
This was recommended to me to stop a fever blister in its tracks, and I always found it to work great. If you start taking large doses when you first feel the tingle of a fever blister starting, it will stop it from fully forming. I think it is a great product and would recommend highly.Naturally produced free-form -Lysine

I love that Solaray L-Lysine is free-formed and natural. Synthetic supplements can only offer a fraction of the health benefits one receives from a naturally produced, free-form essential amino acids. Great for cold sores!Great for Cold Sores.

My Aunt suffers from cold sores all the time. The only thing that has helped is Solaray's L-Lysine. If you don't want to take it all the time, you can take it as soon as you feel the cold sore coming on, and it will help minimize the outbreak.
The best way to prevent outbreaks is if you take it on a daily basis, which my Aunt does, and it has proven effective at keeping her cold sores away.No Great Shakes

I truly think this amino acid is overrated. I took for cold sores and never noticed if it was effective or not. Many health gurus have stated it works but I am not an advocate.
