I'm not ashamed to admit to having had a chemical dependency problem about a year ago, but when I decided it had to stop, I researched many supplements to assist in the detoxification process. Alpha Lipoic Acid was one of the top recommended antioxidants around! I began taking 600 mg a day to start, and in conjunction with my other vitamins, my body began to rejuvinate itself. Now, I am healthy, balanced, and exercising because I have so much extra energy each day, and I do give a huge amount of the credit to ALA.

This product was recommended by Dr. Periconne whom I saw on PBS one day. I bought some--surprised at how expensive it was, and took it with meals. Dr. Periconne said it was part of the key to reducing inflammation and also helping the body to metabolize food faster, helping me to lose weight. I did lose weight--and it didn't upset my stomach, or make me break out. A word to the wise--it might make you use the little girl's room rather frequently and give you a bit of an energy boost.
