Not without effect, just used to the higher dosage

When I was once out of the 3 mg Melatonin from Puritan's Pride, I did try the 1 mg dosage. Not that it did not have some effect, it did, but after 4 yrs of the 3 mg dosage, it was obviously not as strong, did not work as well, but did still help. So for anyone never taking Melatonin, I would think it would be helpful, I rely upon Melatonin

Not Strong Enough

As a long time fan of Puritan's Pride products, I decided to try this melatonin supplant for occasional but bothersome insomnia. I wanted to be cautious as melatonin is a hormone, so I chose this 1 mg product over the many 2 mg and 3 mg.
Unfortunately it didn't work for me, it just wasn't strong enough. When it didn't work, I tried taking more tablets and had better results, so for my next purchase I simply bought a 3 mg product to avoid taking multiple tablets.
I gave this product a 3.5 because, although it wasn't strong enough for me, it very well may be enough for someone else. As with most things, it's always best to go with the lowest effective dosage. So, although it wasn't quite enough for me I would still suggest that anyone trying melatonin for the first time should go with a lower dosage first.
