Neu•Relieve is a formula consisting of vitamins, minerals and amino acids designed to nutritionally support production of the neurotransmitters that are depleted by the long term use of benzodiazepines.

Prolonged use of benzodiazepines results in the reduction of certain normal neurotransmitter availability, the principle of which is associated with the Gamma Amino Butyric Acid, GABA, receptor site. As the GABA brain site is continuously provided with drugs that mimic the configuration and action of normal neurotransmitters the brain begins to reduce their production in favor of the easily available medication. These drugs, while effective for short-term relief of acute anxiety, produce significant withdrawal difficulties if used for more than 2 - 4 weeks as recommended by the manufacturers.
