We decided to add a good quality acidophilus supplement to our vitamin regimen and go back to our old two-percent pasteurized milk. This particular brand, Vitabase Acidophilus, also contains beneficial pectin which as everyone knows follows the saying 'an apple a day keeps the doctor a way", as pectins from fruits such as apples or other citrus fruits are a healthy boost of fiber and also can help tremendously with intestinal function and related problems such as constipation. Combining the two in one product means that not only are we promoting better bowel health but are also getting an anti-oxidant boost and a dose of healthy fiber every day.
I have much less problems with gas since starting the supplement and my Dad and Mom have likewise started taking the capsules every day as well, since bowel function slows down with age, and more so as our activity levels decrease. Poor diet may also contribute to the problem from fast food and not enough nutrients, so we feel this acidophilis supplement is a compliment to our current vitamin regimen.

I started this supplement product about two months ago to try and help with bloating and uncomfortable gas pains. It really works well and I have been very impressed. It lives up to its advertised claims and I also eat a lot of garlic so any product that helps with the bad breathe issue is also a plus for me. I would recommend this product not only for the effectiveness but the price is very reasonable.

I started taking this Acidophilus supplement about four months ago, and noticed a difference in my overall well being and digestion after about 2 weeks of regular use. Acidophilus helps to absorb vital nutrients from foods and supplements you ingest, and this brand also helped me detoxify naturally after my week long detox diet recommended by my doctor. The pills are easy to swallow, and don't leave any after taste. A great all-around product.
