Rice Syrup does not cause a sugar rush or a sudden spike in blood sugar after consuming it due to a low glycemic value. The sugar profile of the syrup is 50% soluble carbohydrates, 45% maltose and 3% glucose. Unlike regualr sugar, it also has minerals such as iron, manganese, magnesium, potassium, B-group vitamins and other miner nutrients.
