Excellent product

I'm a 20 year veteran of the natural products industry and Barlean's is one of the best. I think the fishy taste is minimal, there is an oxygen guard dispenser on the cap so that the bottle doesn't fill up with oxygen as the product empties, and the lemony flavor is very pleasant. I've never had a fishy batch of Barleans and if I got one i would return it. Sometimes shipments sit out of refrigeration for awhile and this would impair the quality. I'm on my second bottle now and I will continue to use it.

Not sure what some of the other reviewers are talking about. Barlean's Fresh Catch Cod Liver Oil and other fish oil products taste great! They're infused w/ all-natural lemon and orange flavors making it delightful to take.

Decent Product

Besides obvious awful taste, it seems to be an effective product and offers you fatty acids that you can't get naturally from other meats. It is worth it if you can stomach the smell.

My mother force-fed cod liver oil to me as a child. So I admit that I was predisposed to hating it for much of my life, but when I woke up to nutrition as an adult and realized that Omega-3 fatty acids are key to heart health, I started taking it again, and this is one of the brands I’ve tried. The stuff still tastes awful, but it’s good for you.

My doctor recommended taking some fish oil before one of the major surgeries I was having. I came across the Fresh Catch Cod Liver Oil at my local food store and decided to give it a try since it seemed to claim premium quality in an extremely balanced complex. I took one teaspoon a day for three weeks before giving up on this product because the taste was getting unbearable to take. The aftertaste seemed to linger for hours and I was actually feeling sick to my stomach toward the end of my use. I would not recommend this product to those consumers who are naturally sensitive to fishy taste. Barleans has made it difficult to get past the initial stage due to taste in order to properly evaluate its potential positive effects.

Good for you! I like the liquid delivery system as it is absorbed faster and the fish taste doesn't come back later like with capsules.

Barleans makes good products. I use this religiously. Hard to say more because fish oil is fish oil--tastes bad but great for you.
