My family tried this product so that we could get our daily dose of Omega-3s, but found that we prefer a competing brand of the same product. These pills were a great source of essential fatty acids, but tasted a bit odd. In addition, there was a slight fishy odor that we didn't enjoy every time we opened the bottle. Lastly, these pills will stick to one another if left untouched for awhile, so make sure you give the bottle a good shake before opening.

I like Nature Made brand because they are very concise when they list their ingredients. This brand doesn't leave a fishy taste in my mouth or an after taste when I burp later on. I have noticed an improvement in my joints, namely my knees. My cholesterol levels also have dropped and I think this has been one of the reasons. I am definitely going to keep taking these every day to get all the natural health benefits they offer.

Nature made is the easiest on your stomach and highly effective. I have a fast heart rate and worry constantly that I'm going to have a major heart problem. I started taking these capsules and they seem to be great. Last time I had my heart checked, it was in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend this to anyone to take. It is well worth it.
Better than other brands.

I, too, take fish oil for depression. While it doesn't make an extreme difference, I do notice that my moods are more stable when I take it regularly. I dislike the taste of fish, so I would not be able to get the benefits any other way. What I like about Natrol's Omega-3 softgels is the low price; fish oil at my local health store is usually about $12 or $13. The only unfortunate side effect is that it made me burp frequently, and these burps smell/taste like fish. To someone like myself, who does not like fish to begin with, that can be difficult to deal with!
Took it for "mood" (off lable use)

When minor depression strikes, I start taking these again and within a few days my mood elevates. Omega 3s have been known to have this effect even though they aren't marketed for it usually. It's more healthy than using a psychotropic drug every time I'm not feeling my usual, cheerful self.

My sister has been using this product for the past 6 years, and the proposed health benefits are wonderful. Unlike the liquid form, it doesn't have the horrible smell associated with fish oil. Based on her opinion, I would highly recommend this product.
Good for your heart, not for your breath

I have very high blood pressure and a constant worry about the health of my heart, so I take all possible precautions to keep in good health. While its hard to see any results my doctor is glad I take them and says that giving it more time I should see some more positive influence. The only bad part is that almost every time I take them it causes me to exhale some very fishy smelling gas from small burps, take that as you will.
Good and easy

My father-in-law took these every day and suggested my husband take them too. The benefits of fish oil are incredible and very easy way to make sure you get it in your diet every day. Fish can be expensive and boring to eat every day but this supplement is an awesome way to ensure you get what you need.

These are a great way to get what you need without the spoon and mess!
The health benefits for this product are wonderful, and something I try to add to my life. The taste of this isnt the best, but it goes down quick. I try to take it with a bite of pudding or apple sauce and it takes care of that. I would try this product and think that I enjoy the conveniance of it in a pill.
