Wild American Ginseng
Wild American Ginseng [Glandular] grows in the U.S. and Canada. American ginseng has been harvested as a cash crop for over 200 years. Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett are said to have made large sums of money in ginseng trafficking. At one point, American ginseng was almost wiped out along the eastern seaboard due to overharvesting.
Wild American ginseng’s ginsenosides differ from those of Korean ginseng, although the two share similar properties. It is the more expensive of the two ginsengs. American ginseng is considered to have more cooling properties than its Asian counterpart. It is only used after the roots are aged at least four years. Each capsule contains 550 mg of wild American ginseng root.
