I have had lots of trouble keeping my blood glucose level in check. I have several different prescribed medications for it. The medication that worked fairly well, gave me diarrhea and stomach problems. I have diverticulitis and a hiatal hernia and the medication was not helping. A friend told me that cinnamon had some properties that seemed to help control glucose levels, but that you had to take at least 1,000 mg a day for it to benefit you in that way. I found them in the 500 mg by Nature's Way and tried taking one a day. It didn't seem to help very much, so I decided to take 2 and then 3 of them, morning, noon and night time. After a few days I began to actually see a difference. I am still on my medications from my doctor, but with the aid of these capsules of cinnamon my glucose level is leveling out for a change. It hasn't been over 190 at any time now, where before, it may have shot up as high as the upper 200's to mid 300's and down as low as 50 during the day. I would love to see a day where I won't need to take prescription medications for diabetes anymore. I would recommend the Nature's Way to other diabetics. I would like to know if they have it in the higher 1,000 mg, though.Good for Blood Sugar
My mom started taking this when her doctor recommended it for her blood sugar. We have seen a marked improvement. The price is reasonable when you think about how much insulin would be if she didn't control her blood sugar and went into full on diabetes. She said there is no bad aftertaste and she has no side effects from it. I ran across a Web site suggesting cinnamon to reduce bad LDL cholesterol in people with type 2 diabetes. I do not have this disease, but I wanted to improve my LDL with this spice. So, i started using this and it really improved my LDL. This is a herbal supplement and I didn't have any side effects.Great for sugar levels
This is great for sugar levels and helping to keep things in check. I will also take some one else's advice and try this next time I have a yeast infection.
