Dong Quai is a herb from Apiaceae family. It is called daang-gwi (당귀, 當歸) in Korea.
Dong Quai is widely used in Oriental traditional medicine to treat fatirue, high blood pressure, gynecological ailments, and miner anemia.
Anyhow, It is not recommended during pregnancy due to possible anticoagulant, hormonal, and anti-platelet properties. Generally, dong quai is viewed as increasing the risk of miscarriage.
