This product is excellent for several reasons:

1- Lots of older people have tons of fluid buildup - especially in their peripherals (hands, feet, etc.,). Horsetail acts as a diuretic that helps the body rid itself of this excess water more naturally than do many prescription medications.

2 - It is alcohol free. I believe any alcohol is harmful to the body, even if it is just one ounce. I like that this is alcohol free.

The only thing to keep in mind is that when you remove the water in your body you are also removing the electrolytes found in that water. If you take this product, I recommend that you take some sort of electrolyte supplement with it and don't, under any circumstances, take more than the recommended dosage of your doctor.

Overall, this is a product that is superior in quality above the other horsetail supplements.
