Nature's Answer Licorice Root is great to have on hand when you have a fever or sore throat. I helps soothe the throat like the old fashioned cough drops used to do. It's also good if you have an upset stomach. It will help stop the cramps and help you to pass the gas that causes the cramps. Please be careful using licorice root if you have high blood pressure as it can increase it.

Licorice root is good to take if you have a sore throat, as it helps to soothe it. It's also good to take as a digestive aid and helps keeps away infections caused by viruses. I like to take it when my throat starts to get scratchy and it seems to make it either go away after a few days or stop it before it turns into larengitis. A word of caution: be careful using licorice root if you have high blood pressure, as it may increase it if you take too much of it and may also cause water retention. But again, that's if it's taken in large amounts. Nature's Answer is very economical and the brand I buy.

Licorice root is good for constipation. I used to take this when I had severe constipation. Its taste is really good. It worked like wonders within minutes. It is that powerful. But should not take during pregnancy
