Soothes the Painful Digestive Problems
by Barb Fleming

I introduced this product to my mom who has had many medical tests and medications, diagnoses as to why she doubles over in pain in her stomach at times, has problems eating and digesting food at times. She has ceased to take the prescriptions that did not help her, Axid was one of them. While now and then there is a flare up, she feels so much better. She can eat and digest regular food without fear now as the Slippery Elm has helped. My mom can enjoy food again without fear of what problems it may cause. She is never without this in her die. The past 6 months have been a blessing to her in this way due to this product.

Helps ulcerative colitis or diverticulitis
by Noah H.

After suffering for more than a year with ulcerative collitis and being treated by my doctor with a prescription drug that although helpful in easing the pain, I found was addictive ( atropine ), I searched for a more natural homeopathic remedy. As my Mom takes Slippery Elm Bark for treating her Diverticulitis, I thought I would try it. I found it brought some relief very quickly and a reduction in symptoms. Slippery Elm is good for a variety of digestive disorders due to it's high mucilage content and it seems to soothe the lining of the intestines and stomach and stops many of the symptoms of both diseases, such as bloating, cramping, and gas. Adding German Chamomile along with the Slippery Elm Bark, which is a natural anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic, seemed to enhance both herbs effectiveness, which brought about a reduction in flare-ups over time, with painful symptoms lessening in both frequency and intensity. Slippery Elm has been researched as an adjunct to traditional therapy, along with dietary changes, for the successful treatment of chronic gastritis, Crohn's disease, Diverticulitis, spastic colon, and my own problem, ulcerative colitis. Works well for me to relax the muscles of both the stomach and intestinal tract to ease pain and cramping and help me live a normal daily life once again. The Puritan's Pride brand is excellent quality and affordable, as well.
