I began to use this for PMS - I have suffered from it for many years. I am unable to use addictive medications such as tranquilizers or relaxants. My Dr. suggested I try the valerian root. I like the extract because it goes directly into my blood stream. It does make me tired so I try to take it in the evening. Its non addictive. For the bad PMS days I do take it every 4 hours. It helps to keep my body balanced. I wish it came in a higher dosage.
