Combination Glucosamine
Overall Rating
From the Manufacturer:
Your body uses glucosamine, a natural compound, to stimulate your cells to create one of the main building blocks of joint cartilage -- proteoglycans. As you age, the amount of glucosamine created by your body decreases. The result? Your cartilage and bones begin to scrape against each other, your joints become damaged, and the lubricating synovial fluid in your joint spaces becomes thin and watery. All glucosamine supplements are NOT the same. To ensure effective absorption and tissue utilization, it's highly recommended that one takes glucosamine in the sulfate form. This is the way glucosamine is found in the body, and it lacks any known toxicity. Chondroitin sulfate attracts and holds large amounts of water to the cartilage-building proteoglycan molecules. Since cartilage has no blood supply, this fluid is necessary to nourish and lubricate joints.

a keeper by Sally

My husband has several knee problems, and is starting to develop arthritis (hereditary.) This is the second bottle of GC I've bought him, and he says this works much better than the last brand. When he remembers to take it faithfully, he is amazed at how much better his joint pain is. It seems expensive, but lasts quite awhile. As he can tell you, it is well worth it.
Excellent for joints by Jennifer

This product may seem a bit expensive, but I think it's worth it. You do get a lot of tablets in one bottle, and it will last you a long time. I only take one tablet daily, and only during the colder months when my arthritis flares up. I've been taking this for about 2 years now, and it works great. I have a minimal amount of cartilage in my knees (it's been this way since I was a child). Only when I started getting older and excercising more did the pain bother me. Since I started taking these, my flareups have been very infrequent. I highly recommend this for anyone who has joint problems, or think they may develop problems.
Better than nothing by Cynthia

I was actually talking to my pharmacist about this exact bottle of Glucosamine & Chondroitin. It is pretty expensive, so I was surprised that she was taking it already (she's only 35). Then I learned that she had knee problems, and she told me that there was a lot of research and evidence that this supplement works in preventing and even healing cartilage damage. It works very well for her. I would definitely take her recommendation if I ever feel joint pain.
Good combo by Denise

After spending a lot of money on other Gluco combos with minimal results, I think I've found a keeper. I think the combo of Glucosamine & Chondroitin are essential to feel results. NSI's G&S is particularly good because I get the same results from more expensive ($30/month) supplements for far less. NSI's combo lasts four months (about $12 a month).
Can't go wrong by R. Todd Woodstock

This mix is awesome!! All three ingredients are combined to strengthen cartilage in the joints. This product is perfect for weightlifters. I have used this with great results; however, the price was a little too much for my income. If money is no object, then try this; otherwise, just a basic combination of glucosamine and chondroitin will do the trick.
Good stuff by Jamie Wilson

My husband, living an active life after thirty years of a sedentary one, started taking these after the doctor supported my recommendation. Surprise! He cleared up pretty quickly, and now when he takes it every day his joints stay relatively pain-free. Looking for some with good SAM-E now.
