From the Manufacturer:
Hyaluronic acid is found distributed throughout the body particularly in connective, skin, and nerve tissue. It is a significant component of synovial fluid. This fluid is found in the eyes, joints, and skin. Hyaluronic acid serves as a primary lubricating agent in the fluid improving joint mobility. It also combines with other components to absorb water in cartilage making the cartilage more resistant to compression. In individuals with osteoarthritis, hyaluronic acid changes causing the cartilage to degrade.
Adding hyaluronic acid to the diet may help improve the quality of the synovial fluid in the joints and skin. Hyaluronic acid works to reduce inflammation and swelling.
