Good product for most, just not for me

After 2 reconstructive TMJ surgeries years ago, that surgeon and my chiropractor suggested joint supplements, which I did try, glucosamine, chondroitin, and also this MSM. I took them for 2 months time, at that point the surgeon and chiropractor agreed the degenerative osteoarthritis in that area was already so bad, that if I had seen no relief at that point, they were not going to help. It was a matter of the situation outweighing the possible benefits. I know for many this works well, so not saying it is not a good product, just not for me.

I started taking MSM about a year ago because I had read on a forum that it is also good for hair. I have kept taking MSM for my hair, skin, and joints. My knees used to sound like a gun, now they hardly pop at all. My acne has mostly cleared up, which I love, and my hair sheds less. I will continue to take this product for the above benefits.

My husband suffers with back pain on a daily basis. My husband started taking MSM 1000 mg daily. It really worked for my husband's back pain. My husband is free from back pain. MSM is the best product on the market.
Skin product

Although MSM is traditionally used for joint problems, it is also recommended for skin health. I used it to help with skin problems and found that although it wasn't a cure-all, it offered some benefits for my skin.

My chiropractor suggested to start taking 1000 mg of MSM 2 years ago for joint inflammation. He said it would take about a year before I would notice a difference. Since then, I have increased to 2000 mg a day. I have noticed not just help with inflammation, but it also helps with chronic pain in my shoulders as well. The way I know this is because I quit taking it for about 2 weeks and the pain in my shoulders started back.

I gave this product a 5 star rating, for me, it is very good! It helps me with the arthritis that I have so badly in my knees and spine. I would recommend this product for arthritis and joint pain!
Good complement to Glucosamine

I take a combination of Glucosamine and Chondroitin in addition to this MSM, so admittedly, I can't tell exactly which one is making the difference, or if it's all three together...but since taking the MSM, I can move virtually pain free - walking and running distances that I never could before.
MSM for Scars

After years of suffering from acne, I was left with unsightly shallow, box-type scarring on my face. I read reviews about the powerful impact of MSM on existing scars by remodeling the scar tissue. I saw MSM 1000 mg by Natrol at my local health store and decided that for $15.00 I was ready to test the claims behind the theory. I took one capsule twice daily with food because I soon learned that taking it without food meant my stomach being upset. After using the product for about three months, I noticed NO effect on the shape, color or depth of my existing scars. I was disappointed as I truly wanted this product to make a difference in my life. I would not recommend this product as a means of altering the existing scar tissue. I would warn consumers not to be fooled by the claims that it will work simply because this particular mineral plays such an important role for collagen formation in the human body in general.
