Research Before Using - Can Be Harmful or Beneficial

I bought a bottle just to keep up with the newest health reports as it sounded very helpful. When I went for my once in 140 blue moons MD check-up, my doctor said "NOOOOO!!!".
His rationale was that this is too new to know if the benefits even come close to outweighing the possibly harmful effects. I didn't feel any different when taking it, but didn't expect to either as I was just adding to my healthy ritual. I was told that it is usually only advised to use if you have a viral condition or a carcinogenic ailment. With these limited studies have seen notable improvements but again, key word "limited". Seems that most anywhere you live in suburban America, you will inevitably ingest it without even knowing, and high amounts are linked to some side effects I cannot afford. The main things that are negative are: gum damage, worsening of many types of respiratory conditions (ie: bronchitis was why I was told to stop), and then to boot it can have neurological damage if you ingest too much.
I'm sure the product is good quality. Natures Way seems to be up to par, but I would take only after reading about both the benefits and drawbacks. In my opinion to be prudent, I'd buy a water tester or find out what trace minerals are abundant in your locale, that and some manufacturing plants release it. Should it be abundant in your place of residence, miss this latest health fad.
