Great tasting & effective

I tried several other papain products and natural digestive-aid combinations, before I found this one, which I much prefer over others. I've been using American Health's Super Papaya Enzyme for over a year now, and find that it helps a great deal with my non-specific stomach problems, such as chronic heartburn, indigestion, bloating, and gas, sometimes from occasional overeating, or simply fast food or rushed meals. Papain comes from the papaya plant and is an enzyme that helps digest protein from food and insures one also gets the full benefits of nutrients from other foods by aiding in more complete and comprehensive digestion. Papain is a terrific way to provide better energy to the body tissues, due to it's ability to properly break down proteins to make them more readily available to the system. Recent research has also shown that this enzyme from ripe papayas provides aid in faster healing of mouth sores, such as cold sores and fever blisters, or those typical of Herpes Zoster. A family member of mine uses papain as an addition to her treatment to prevent protein deposits in the kidneys, often experienced by many diabetics. It also is known to be effective orally in soothing and healing inflamed tissues in the respiratory tract due to it's being a natural anti-inflamatory. I particularly like the American Health Brand of Super Papaya Enzyme, as it also contains bromelain, which comes from pineapples, and amylase, which is normally produced by a healthy pancreas, both widely used, and considered to be safe aids to better digestion. This brand tastes really good, too, as it not only comes across as tart and fruity on the tongue, but has a sweet and refreshing after taste from added peppermint, which is a super breath freshener, as well. Since I stated taking the chewable tablets, I have noticed much less indigestion after heavy meals, especially those which include difficult to digest foods such as nuts, or high protein meats such as beef or pork. Now I never miss taking my Super Papaya Enzyme before meals as I always experience bloating and discomfort without them. Chewable, tasty, effective, and very good for you if you have stomach or general digestive problems.

American Health products are one of the companies I look for when buying a natural product. I especially find the Super Papaya Enzyme Plus to be very beneficial to my digestive health. These are safe for our older citizens as well as I have yet to notice any bad side effects. Just a great all-around digestive aid without having to spend a lot of money.

I used Super Papaya Enzyme Plus to treat my rd trimester heart burn with my youngest child. This is a great tasting product that works great, and does so very quickly. It has a great combination of ingredients to help cool down the worst burn of heartburn and acid reflux. Wonderful product!
