During certain times of the year i suffer from the blues, especially in winter but this product really makes a difference for me. It is on the expensive side for the number of tablets you actually get so I only buy it when I need it like during the witner months. It has helped me tremendously though and it has no side effects like prescription meds do for depression.

I took this product for almost a month and didn't see any difference in my mood. Thought at first maybe it needs time to work but time did not make it work.

After taking 400mg for a month with no result (for minor depression), I increased the dosage to 600 mg daily and got immediate results. Side benefit is more energy BUT it's been 5 days since I increased the dose and I'm not experiencing severe gas pains in my lower stomach & it's trapped. I take the Sam-e in the morning & the cramping starts in the mid-late afternoon and comes in waves and lasts for hours. Today I am trying to eat within 15 mins of taking it & will see if that helps. I was taking it at 5 am and going back to sleep. When I got up at 8 am, I exercised for 30 mins, took my shower, and then finally ate. So I was waiting about 4 hrs before eating. Maybe this is the reason, but others online are complaining of same problem & I'm sure they ate much sooner than I did. If not for all those blogs, I'd think it was just me. It isn't. I have also begun to replace am cereal with a hard boiled egg so that may be my case. I write this in case someone else is having same painful gas. The company says this isn't documented as a side effect, but after finding more than 10 online reviewers with painful gas while on Same-e, I have to think this needs to be added to the possible side effects. I also think the increased dose caused it. The company does admit that diarrhea can be a side effect of increased dose. That can cause gas pain.

For the first time in 20 years, I am off of prescription antidepressants. My husband and I take SAM-e each morning. We learned the hard way that all SAM-e is not equal. Mood Plus was the beginning of our incredible life of freedom from depression. So thankful.

The product is a great idea. I read a whole book on SAM-e explaining it's properties and test studies. I took several boxes, thinking that if I just take it long enough I would see the results. Nothing happened. I didn't notice anything. My friends have said the same.

I am really moody and keep things in but sometimes they come out and I can sit and cry for ever but I recently tried sam-e and it really works the other day my husband and I had a fight and I couldnt stop crying so I decided to try sam-e took 2 with water and it really helped alot I stopped crying and mellowed out I will definately be getting some more fast
