Your Friend While Fasting

I don’t diet anymore, but I do go on an occasional “fast” where I drink only juices and smoothies for a couple days. I am careful to get all of my nutrients in my juices during that time, and so I enjoy adding a couple of spoonfuls of Spirulina. Not only does it have the ever-elusive B12 (which is so important for vegans), but it also has your essential fatty acids to keep you happy and healthy. I like to add this to a smoothie with some frozen banana and soy milk. Yummy!
