Odd aftertaste and was gritty but it is great for a soy product.

I got hooked on this product when I was doing the Atkins diet. I use it in most of my baked goods along with bran and wheat germ and ground flax, to replace flour. It has definitely improved my diet. I don't taste it, I don't even know it's there.

This is the first soy protein product I have ever purchased, and while it is versatile, I'm not sure I would recommend it. The taste is rather chalky, and I've found that Spiru-tein hemp/pea/soy powder tastes much better and has a smoother texture when blended with soymilk & ice. Unfortunately, Spiru-tein only has 14g protein per serving, so I'm currently searching for something with a little more "oomph." However, if you're looking for a versatile unflavored soy powder, this is a good bet.

This soy protein powder is good, but I give it 4 stars because I would never make it as the package recommends (soy milk and powder, that's it!). It is really good with frozen fruit, soy milk and a little orange juice. You just have to make sure you don't use too much powder or it tastes very chalky. However, it is GREAT to use in baking. I throw in a scoop here and there when I make cookies, scones, pancakes or other baked goods. I feel better knowing there's a little soy protein in a snack, and my family can't even tell that I have added it! Overall, a good product, but I can't compare it to anything because I've not tried other brands.

I would ONLY recommend Soy protein to someone who has allergic reactions to whey or egg proteins. Besides the less potency, it tastes horrible compared to whey (designer is good whey if you need to know). Soy is less expensive so there is a plus, and less allergic reactions, so 2 stars is what it deserves.

Personally, I love unflavored soy protein and have used it for over 20 years. Genisoy is one of my favorites. One reason being that where I once lived, I as able to find it near my house. I have always mixed unflavored soy protein with milk, honey, maybe vanilla and ice cubes, and it has a nutty healthy flavor that I am addicted to. I just talked myself into making a drink of it right now!

The Geni-soy protein powders are all pretty good with the exception of this unflavored version. The texture is alright and it is okay with juice, but don't try mixing it with milk or water otherwise you will end up with a cup full of chalky undrinkable substance like I did. I don't like this powder without the typical added sugars or flavors.

I take Genisoy Unflavored Protein Powder on a daily basis. Genisoy Unflavored Protein Powder is good for daily protein intake. I mix the Genisoy Unflavored Protein Powder with orange juice. The Genisoy Unflavored Protein Powder is the best product on the market.

This works very well in fruit/fruit juice and yogurt smoothies, especially for women because of the moderate levels of protein, the added vitamins and minerals, and the soy base. This is a great protein supplement for women who run or regularly do other cardiovascular exercise. I have used Genisoy soy protein powder for years, with great results.
