Ginger provides relief for mild stomach upset and can help prevent or treat nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness, pregnancy and sometimes chemotherapy. Ginger is believed to fight harmful bacteria like E. coli, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus without killing beneficial bacteria like Lactobacillus. Ginger also appears to help lower cholesterol.
