Prenatal Vitamin
Overall Rating
From the Manufacturer:
In theory, an expectant mother on a healthy, balanced diet should be ingesting all the nutrients she needs to give birth to a healthy baby. However, with today’s busy lifestyle, it is sometimes difficult to ensure that adequate amounts of all the vital ingredients are being included. For this reason, it is hard to overstate the importance of the need for all pregnant women to take these vital supplements; the ramifications of not doing so could prove to be disastrous. The most important of these vitamins is Folic Acid, which is part of the Vitamin B family. Numerous studies have shown that folic acid can significantly reduce the risk of serious defects to the baby's brain and spinal cord (e.g. spina bifida) occurring in the first four weeks of pregnancy The evidence suggests that 70% of the defects of this type that occur in the U.S. could be prevented if the mothers were to take a daily dose of folic acid. Other important prenatal vitamins and minerals include: Vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D, and E, calcium, iron, zinc, niacin, riboflavin, and thiamine. Iron is vital as it facilitates the distribution of oxygen through the bloodstream—essential for both the growing baby and the mother. Vitamin A is also particularly important for both mother and baby; it not only helps the growth of healthy skin, eyes, and mucous membranes, but it helps fight infection. For the mother, it contributes to a healthy reproductive cycle and replaces Vitamin A lost during breastfeeding. Calcium is an essential ingredient for the healthy development of teeth and bones as well as helping blood to clot.

Lovely company by Jenn Hanes

The thing about multivtaimns like this is it is hard to say for sure that they work. That is why you need to buy good brands. That is why I bought this particular product during my last pregancy.
Good by Pam Oliver

My wife used this by John Kook

I got this for my wife during her last pregancy. The tablets are a little large but otherwise, it is a great product.
Pregnancy by Nikki Brown

I used this during my recent pregnancy and delivered a healthy baby. Of course, I cannot give this product all the credit, but it seems like a great product and was pretty inexpensive.
Very nice by Nancy Bowman

I like Vitabase and use them for all our supplements. So, this is naturally the multivitamin I used. Works well as far as I know. Trust goes a long way.
